The Bovisa Triennale comes into being
On the 21st November 2006, a new space dedicated to contemporary living was opened: the Bovisa Triennale. Designed by Pierluigi Cerri, the exhibition area was illuminated entirely using iGuzzini fixtures.This is an area of 2,100 square metres divided into the exhibition space and various recreational areas: the bookshop, the Triennale Café and the conference room.
The exhibition area is dominated by 950 suspended track-fitted Le Perroquet projectors, into which a series of several different fixtures has been integrated: Compact Easy modules for the luminous islands in the conference room, Lineup for the shelves in the bookshop and wall-fitted Lingotto fixtures for emergency lighting.
The outdoor lighting was also created using iGuzzini fixtures: Lavinia and Platea projectors were used for the building façade and Woody fixtures were used for the emergency exits and the exhibition and bookshop entrances.
Designed to host not only large art exhibitions but also special occasions, concerts and cultural events in general, the centre is opening with the “HANS HARTUNG: in the beginning there was lightning“ exhibition.

The Triennale and iGuzzini: forty years of partnership in the name of design
It has been almost forty years since our company and the Milan Triennale started working together, a partnership which began in 1968 with the illumination of several temporary exhibitions and of galleries used for permanent exhibitions. This working relationship is now being consolidated through the new project in which we are partners.
